Alumni, ICU Affiliates & Friends of ICU

Following people are entitled to apply for ICU Library Friends membership that promises checkout service of the Library materials. Please refer to ICU Library Friends. Non-Library Friends members can enter the Library by signing their name and address at the Library entrance from 9:00 to 16:00, Monday to Saturday.

TAC (Tama Academic Consortium) Students and Staffs

Students and staffs of TAC member universities are entitled to apply for a TAC user that promises checkout service by submit an application at the Document Supply Center from 9:00 to 16:00, weekdays. TAC members can enter the Library by just signing their name and address at the Library entrance from 9:00 to 16:00, Monday to Saturday. Please refer to Tama Academic Consortium for detail.

Students and full-time faculty members (includes emeritus professors and visiting professors) at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies

Please show your ID card from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and write your name and ID No to enter ICU Library from 9:00 to 16:00, Monday to Saturday. Borrowing service is available by submit an application form at the Document Supply Center from 9:00 to 16:00, weekdays.

Please follow the rules below.

Overdues: When you keep books beyond their due dates, you cannot check out another book. Also, above overdue fines are set. Please pay by "Shoshi" at the Document Supply Center. You can check your overdue records at MyLibrary.

2. Request paper from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Library (needed every year）

ICU Library card for TUFS members expires on the final ICU Library opening day of every academic year. Please return books and pay overdue fine by then.

Undergraduate and graduate students

Please check out ICU Library card at the library of your institution. Checkout service is available. You can enter the Library by showing your university ID card and sign in your name and ID number at the entrance.

Teaching staff and Toho-Gakuen College High-school teaching staff who have additional posts at Toho-Gakuen College of Music

Please bring ID card of your university or institution to enter the Library. Your are kindly required to write down your name and student ID number in our form at the entrance. If you have a specific title that you would like to browse, you are recommended to ask us in advance through the library staff at your own university or institution, so that we hold the title at our service desk for you.

Please bring a letter of introduction issued by the academic institution you belong to. Hours:9:00-16:00 (Mon.-Sat.) No checkout service is available. If you have a specific title that you would like to browse, you are recommended to ask us in advance through the library staff at your university or institution, so that we hold the title at our service desk for you.

Students and Staffs at Oversea Academic Institutions and Organizations

Please download and fill in following "Library Application Form for Temporary Use." Show at the entrance, with your organization ID card. Hours:9:00-16:00 (Mon.-Sat.) No checkout service is available. If you have a specific title that you would like to browse, you are recommended to ask us in advance through the library staff at your university or institution, so that we hold the title at our service desk for you.

To Librarians in Japan (Material search and other）

Before applying for Material search by FAX, please check our OPAC. Except for a part of Kanzo Uchimura collection, Old style Japanese book、and Chinese book, all ICU Library collection are registered on our OPAC. Please announce the person planning to us our library, to bring with him, their ID card of the related institution and the photocopy of the reply of the Material search by FAX. Letter of Introduction is not neccessary.

Others

We are afraid that our Library is not opened to public. Those who are doing research on Kanzo Uchimura can enter the Library by just signing their name and address at the Library entrance. Checkout service is not available. Special materials are not for browsing. Those who are sponsored by present ICU faculty members are entitled to apply for ICU Library Friends membership.
