Services for Persons with Disabilities

ICU Library provides the following services for users who have difficulty using paper-based materials due to visual impairment or physical disability.

How to Register

If you wish to request service, please send the following information to the library by e-mail. The library will reply to you regarding subsequent procedures. The Library's e-mail address is as follows.

Services Requiring Pre-registration

Data Transmission Service for Persons with Print Disabilities(National Diet Library Japan)

This is a service that makes data (audio DAISY, braille data, etc.) produced and collected by the National Diet Library for the visually impaired and others available on the Internet.

Use of the "Borrowing Service for Audio Tapes of Academic Resources" (provided by the National Diet Library)

This is a service that allows users to borrow scholarly literature audiobooks (DAISY format CDs and cassette tapes) produced by the National Diet Library.

Use of Sapie

This is a network service that allows users to access a variety of information through a database of Braille books and audiobooks produced or held by Sapie member institutions and organizations nationwide.
