ICU Library Friends

Entitlement

Following people are entitled to apply for ICU Library Friends.

• 1. Those who graduate ICU College of Liberal Arts or ICU Graduate School
• 2. Family member of present ICU full-time faculty or full-time ICU staff, at age of 18 or higher （consanguinity of the first or second degree.）
• 3. Those who once enrolled to ICU CLA or Graduate School as a student for a year or longer
• 4. Those who onve enrolled to ICU as a full-time faculty
• 5. Member of Friends of ICU (FOI)
• 6. Researchers who are permitted by the ICU Library Director (Guarantor's signiture required)
• 7. Faculty members of following ICU affiliate universties: Tokyo Union Theological Seminary, Japan Lutheran College, Toho-Gakuenn College of Music.

Required Documents

Please bring the following documents to ICU Library Document Supply Center. Person in categories 2, 3, and 6 in above paragraph are required application form signed by one's guarantor. Only present ICU teaching staff can be a guarantor. ICU clerical staff can be a guarantor in category 2. Person in categories 3 and 6 are required sign by one's guarantor only in first-time application. Application Form can be retrieved from Download.

• 1. Identification (Driver's license, passport, etc.)
  • FOI card is required in categories 5.
  • Faculty member card of ICU affiliate universiry is required in categories 7.
• 2. Annual Fee
  • 2,000 yen for person in categories 1 and 2.
  • 3,000 yen for person in categories 3, 4 and 5.
  • 5,000 yen for person in category 6.
  • Free for person in category 7.

Services

• Entrance: Please use Library card to open the gate at the entrance.
• Checkout: Please use automated checkout machines to borrow books. Library card is required.
• Number of Books: 3
• Loan Period: 1 month
• Overdues: Overdue fine of 10 yen is charged per day per book. Checkout service is not available when there are overdue books.
• Note: Some services including the Othmer Library computers, Group Study Rooms, licensed databases, Inter Library Loan and Letter of Introduction are not available.
