In accordance with the Article No.17 of the Library Law, the entrance and access of the library materials are secured. Lending service might be limited to the residents and workers of the local service districts. There are libraries that do not offer lending services to individuals such as the National Diet Library or Tokyo Metropolitan Library. Please consult directly, the service details of each library.

For visiting non-affiliate libraries, one must take a letter of introduction for accessing the materials in their shelves. Please fill out and send the following "Letter of Introduction Request Form." It takes a half or a day to issue a letter. Check out services are not available at non-affiliate libraries.
NOTE: Only ICU students and regular ICU staffs can request the issuing of the letter of introduction. Please ask at the Reference Service Center for details.
